Advertising copy must be supplied digitally. We accept files as email attachments (sent to ads@thewire.co.uk); when emailing files please compress/stuff them first - anything up to 10MB is fine. Above 10MB please use a file transfer service (e.g. yousendit, mediafire, dropbox, etc, each of which have free upload options).

Print file formats:
1. Illustrator/Freehand EPS files - CMYK images embedded and fonts converted to outlines.
2. TIFF or JPEG. Flattened (no layers). Colour files must be CMYK. Images should be at least 300dpi (600dpi preferred). Bitmap images should be 1200dpi.
3. PDF - Fonts embedded. Colour images in file must be CMYK. Images should be at least 300dpi (600dpi preferred). Bitmap images should be 1200dpi.

Please note that, while we try to accommodate all files that are submitted to us, we cannot be held responsible for ads that do not print correctly if they have been submitted in a format not listed above.

Also, if you would like any links in your ad to be clickable on the digital version of the magazine, please be sure to supply your ad in an 'unvectorised' (i.e. unflattened) state, so that the text within can be easily searched.

We require all online ads to be 72dpi, RGB colour JPEG/PNG or GIF files at the appropriate pixel sizes for their placement. File should be less than 50k

Special discounts are available to regular advertisers by taking up one of our discounted package deals - please ask for details

(i) We require first-time online advertisers to pay in advance for the first ad.

(ii) Online ad invoices will be generated upon confirmation of booking, and payment will be required within 14 days of the invoice date. Payment for print ads will be required within 30 days of the invoice date.

(iii) If a print & online ad package is taken, we require all ads in the package (both print and online) to be taken within a 12-month period. This 12-month period begins when the first ad in the deal, either print or online, is taken.

(iv) Ad bookings and discounted series deals are not transferable.

(v) Position requests may be given at the time of booking but, while we do our utmost to accommodate them, unfortunately they cannot be guaranteed.

(vi) We do not currently accept animated online ads.

(vii) confirmed bookings are final and we regret that ad files, once submitted, cannot be altered.

(viii) VAT (if UK-based or in Europe without an EU tax number) is not included in our ratecard prices but will be added to the invoice total.
