"While no doubt familiar to Portal readers the value of this website cannot be understated, UbuWeb is an essential resource for hearing and viewing experimental and avant garde music and film. Writing about Burroughs was made much easier by the number of recordings that have been archived here, alongside numerous other sound poetry works. The site also includes a selection of films and essays which offer an insight into many key areas of experimental work. The site functions best when you just drift through it, following your interests and seeing where they may lead. I use this site on a regular basis."
