Hear two exclusive pieces of music by Felix Kubin, Raum für Telemagnetische Medien and the long deleted experimental EP Jane B ertrinkt mit den Pferden (Jane B drowns with the horses).
Further info is supplied by Felix himself:
Raum für Telemagnetische Medien is a 20 minute audio piece that I made for a sound installation by Sasker Scheerder in Stuttgart. Sasker Scheerder is an artist from Rotterdam who invented the "Audio Drive": using car stereos for sound reproduction and movement in space. My piece was played via several channels in different cars. It is a remix of a radio play that I have made in 2004 for WDR broadcast in Cologne. The original piece was called Paralektronoia and dealt with the connection of ghosts and electricity. It is centered around two interviews: one with artist Carl Michael von Hausswolff about Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) and the work of Friedrich Jürgenson, the other with scientist Stefan Andriopoulos who teaches in New York media history and occultism. The piece also contains interview fragments with Mika Vainio, Asmus Tietchens and Lionel Marchetti. Most of it is in English language.
The long deleted experimental EP Jane B ertrinkt mit den Pferden (Jane B drowns with the horses) was released in 2001 on Diskono.
