Stream tracks from Stian Westerhus & Sidsel Endresen's duo album Didymoi Dreams and Westerhus's The Matriarch And The Wrong Kind Of Flowers.
Stian Westerhus is a Norwegian guitarist who has played with the groups Puma, Monolithic and Jaga Jazzist. The Matriarch And The Wrong Kind Of Flowers is his latest solo album, recorded by at Oslo's Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum, a space decorated with frescoes by Vigeland, which creates a natural 20 second sound delay. For Didymoi Dreams Westerhus worked with Norwegian vocal improvisor Sidsel Endresen who was part of the Jon Eberson Group in the 1980s, alongside numerous other collaborations.
Both albums are reviewed by Daniel Spicer in The Wire 343 and are out now on Rune Grammofon.
