Sound of Ebb, an open source sound series focusing upon sound artist's responses to global economic crisis, has an open call out for artists to create a work in sound responding to the question "What is the sound of the recession?". Submitted work can take the form of field recordings, compositions, radio plays, soundscapes or pieces of music and should be 30 seconds to five minutes in length. All works will be uploaded online for free listening and sharing and selected submissions will be exhibited and distributed in a free downloadable compilation by LOUDSPKR and Sound and Music. Deadline is 31 July for submissions to be included in an exhibition at Volume gallery in New Cross, London throughout August, final deadline is 31 August for consideration of inclusion in the compilation.
