Raster-Noton releases book by the Finnish musician and sound artist...
Record label and design studio Raster-Noton have released a new book and CD collection by the Finnish musician and sound artist Mika Vianio. Time Examined looks at Vianio's lesser known installation and soundtrack work which he has been making for the past 13 years alongside recording and performing as one half of Pan Sonic and his solo work as Ø.
The book contains an overview of Vianio's installation work, accompanying photographs, essays by Carl Michael Von Hauswolff and Daniela Cascella, a CD containing tracks created from his installations and soundtracks, along with a reissue of Ø + noto's (aka Raster-Noton co-founder Carsten Nicolai) 1997 split release Mikro Makro
Time Examined is available to buy through the Raster-Noton shop.
