The School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago has an open call for papers for its Sound Art Theories Symposium, which will run 5–6 November this year. Five speakers are lined up so far: David Grubbs, Seth Kim-Cohen, Salomé Voegelin, Allen S Weiss, and Christopher Cox.
Along with the speakers, the symposium seeks papers to be presented, and has extended the deadline for submissions to 21 August. The event will also include exhibitions and performances, including works open to the public for free by Steve Peters, Olivia Block, Joseph Mills and Damon Locks of Experimental Sound Studio.
