Elder's Corner, a documentary project tracking Nigeria's musical history has started a campaign on Kickstarter to crowdfund the final six months of filming. The film's creator Siji is seeking to raise $20,000 in donations to complete the project, which aims to record Nigeria's history through a series of interviews and live sessions with legendary Afrobeat, Juju, Apala, Highlife, and Fuji musicians.
Siji has spent a year in Nigeria so far, and has over 30 hours of interview footage with Orlando 'OJ' Julius, Emperor Dele Ojo, Tony Benson, Jimi Solanke Chris Ajilo, pianist Randy Weston, Yoruba records founder Osunlade, Roy Ayers, and others.
Donations to the project are rewarded according to amount pledged, starting from a download of the finished documentary and a thanks in the credits, up to VIP tickets to the premier and a credit as Executive Producer.
