Captain Beefheart TV performances released on DVD

In 1972 Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band stopped off at the Beat Club studios in Bremen, Germany and recorded a session for TV, which is now being released on DVD. Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band: The Lost Broadcasts will be out later this month, and contains nine tracks (with multiple takes of "I'm Gonna Booglarize You Baby" and "Click Clack") recorded for the session, including "Mascara Snake", "Golden Birdies", and "Steal Softly Thru The Snow".

The line up for the session consisted of Don Van Vliet, Mark Boston (Rockette Morton), Bill Harkleroad (Zoot Horn Rollo), Roy Estrada (Orejon), Art Tripp (Ed Marimba) and Elliot Ingber (Winged Eel Finger).
