"77º 37' S 165º 48' E" (Excerpt)
from the release Fathom
While gathering field recordings for the sound design of Werner
Herzog’s Encounters At The End Of The World, Douglas Quin
captured the alien vibrations of inhospitable Antarctica.
Fathom is a vinyl only collection of underwater recordings
from these travels: side A is exclusively Arctic, side B Antarctic.
It is packaged in custom letterpress materials including an insert
describing specific locations, animals and other elements heard.
The insert is sealed in an envelope printed with an essay by René
van Peer.
