Print - Specifications
IMPORTANT GUIDANCE!
• The use of black
Due to the web offset print process used, we advise that any black text or backgrounds should be set in 100% black ink:
(C:0 , M:0 , Y:0, K:100%)
Please note that converting files from RGB to CMYK will result in rich black, so please check that your file is in the correct colourspace from the outset.
• Typography
Please use a minimum of 6pt type, or 8pt if text is reversed out of a colour background. Avoid using extremely light typefaces, especially if reversed out of a colour background, as these tend to 'fill in' when printed.
We advise using live vector text wherever possible (i.e. text that is not set using image manipulation software such as Photoshop).

PLEASE NOTE:
• To ensure that URLs are active and words are searchable in the digital edition of the magazine we require your ad to be in an uncompressed format such as a PDF (and not a compressed JPEG or TIFF file).
• While we try to accommodate all files that are submitted to us, we cannot be held responsible for ads that do not print correctly if they do not meet all of the above specifications.

Discounts
Special discounts are available to regular advertisers by taking up one of our discounted package deals - please ask for details
Notes
(i) We require immediate payment on receipt of invoice.
(ii) We require first-time advertisers to pay in advance for their first booking.
(iii) If a 'series deal' is taken, either in print or online, we will require all ads in the package to be taken within a 12-month period. This 12-month period begins when the first ad in the deal, either print or online, is taken.
(iv) Ad bookings and discounted series deals are not transferable.
(v) Position requests may be given at the time of booking and, while we do our utmost to accommodate them, unfortunately they cannot be guaranteed.
(vi) confirmed bookings are final and we regret that ad files, once submitted, cannot be altered.
(vii) VAT at 20% (if UK-based or in Europe without an EU tax number) is not included in our ratecard prices but will be added to the invoice total. Advertisers in Europe should provide us with an EU tax number in order to avoid paying the extra 20%.
