"Canary Wharf As Abandoned Chrome Ruin After A Century Of Acid Snow"

Previously unreleased

Label statement:

Psychological Strategy Board is a collaboration between artist and musician Paul Snowdon (Time Attendant) and broadcaster and record label manager Jonny Mugwump (Exotic Pylon), originally starting life as a commissioned mixtape / remix alias through the Front & Follow label which slowly developed into a conceptual recording project.

Using live improvisation utilising analogue devices, sample-based loops and field recordings mixed down into a single track pre-production forcing a kind of cubist/block-editing technique, their sound is explicitly concerned with a panic-ambient zone balancing on a fracture point of music and non-music.

This track was intended to be a brutal chaos-overload collage built as a reaction to the significantly stripped-down recording style adopted whilst working on the soundtrack for Richard Kovitch's forthcoming film about the artist Penny Slinger. However, during the recording something went entirely wrong and they ended up with a piece of almost-musical melancholia. This is probably down to nuclear winter conditions in Paul's bunker and Mugwump’s present obsession with Frank Sinatra.

They are also currently losing an already tenuous grip on reality recording their debut album, producing a sequel to their acclaimed "Industry What Industry" mix and are contributors to Front & Follow’s Collision/Detection series.
