Artist statement:

The recording captures the music rehearsal of a group of devoted practitioners that I met in a christian church in Bruxelles Nord just before mass started.

What interests me more about the recording is the asynchronous relation between voices and keyboards. This ambiguity - the uncertainty of a single unique master beat - tells me something about the coexistence of absolute and subjective time: the possibility to play and 'dance' all together, each one on his/her own tempo

The recording is an extract from my personal collection of spare recordings, an archive containing audio material produced from 2004 to 2013 that I'm currently rediscovering and systematizing after years of hibernation.
