A track from the forthcoming album An Insatiable Demand For Tea (Devastation Wreaked By) by Akke Phallus Duo. This will be the second set of compositions created by acousmatic, e-postal collaboration of Jon Marshall and Ben Morris, this time between Sheffield and Beijing. The process of making the album was acousmatic to the extent that in most cases each of them are still unaware of the originating sound sources, all of which are played (usually improvised) and/or recorded by the other before being manipulated in simultaneous relays. They’ve gone to the trouble of asking each other what elements formed this track though and apparently it features gaida, piano, vocals, tabla, hammond drum machine, tapes, dictaphones, feedback and a broken condenser microphone.
