"Blood & Memory #2"

"Blood and Memory #2" was recorded in 2014 for the compilation Scores & Markings which paid tribute to the Canadian visual and sound artist Lance Austin Olsen. Named after Olsen’s painting of the same name, "Blood and Memory #2" uses hardwood flooring, a radio, snare drum, breath and crickets as sound sources.
crys cole is a Canadian sound artist working in composition, improvised performance and sound installation. cole also collaborates with James Rushford in the duo Ora Clementi who recently released the LP Cover You Will Softer Me on the UK imprint Penultimate Press. Her new solo LP Sand/Layna will be released this coming spring on Black Truffle.
