Kate Carr is the Sydney-based writer and sound artist who runs the experimental Australian label Flaming Pines. Fabulations was released on the French label Soft Recordings. Talking of the release, Carr says:

"About a year ago I moved from Sydney, Australia to Belfast in Northern Ireland and embarked upon a fairly frenetic period of travel. This piece comes from the album Fabulations which draws on my explorations of Europe during this time, including stints in the west coast of Ireland, Cefalu in Sicily, Marseille and Nice. From the sounds of trains, to rowing exercises along the Clyde, piped choral music and museum guards, I Remembered It All Somewhere Near Glasgow recounts my voyage across Scotland in April of last year."
