Negra Branca is the project of Marlene Ribeiro, from Gnod, the group based at Islington Mill, Salford. Her sound is a slow burning pot of electronic psych pop, thick vocal loops and wonderfully weird sounds. Taking about "Tired", Ribeiro says: “This is the first track off this tape release, which was inspired by the concept of dreams. From the initial stages of sleep into the deep states of sleep. The subconscious, the obscure, the fleeting and ever changing reality that our brains construct into what we call a dream.”
