The Seen at One Day Band Session 12

"For Sake Of Joy Of Study Of Oneself Together"

From One Day Band Session 12

"The One Day Band Sessions are an ongoing project” says London based label and facilitator Trestle Records. “The objective is to provide a supportive studio environment for musicians to meet and collaborate with one another on a record made in a single day. Often the musicians are meeting for the first time in the studio itself whilst other times an artist is invited to select the participants. This often results with musicians from very different fields and interests working together. Musicians to have participated to date include Seb Rochford, Terry Edwards, Simon Fisher Turner, Mark Wastell, Leafcutter John, David Coulter, Leo Abrahams, Jon Thorne, and Liam Byrne to name just a few.”
This extract is from a recent session curated by improvisor and Confront director Mark Wastell with the assistance of Trestle's Nick Downes. It features a permutation of the ever fluctuating The Seen with special guest Stewart Lee interpreting a transcribed text from The Spontaneous Music Ensemble's John Stevens.
