Trained as cellist and sound engineer, Renaud Bajeux works as a cinema sound designer and has regularly collaborated with INA-GRM (Groupe de Recherches Musicales) during the last ten years. His own work is located at the crossroads of ambient, field recording and noise. Since 2017, he has been composing from magnetic field recordings: using two electromagnetic coils, he records hard drives, phones, computers, mouse devices, screens, etc, in an attempt “to acknowledge this infra-reality merging industrial noise music and harmonic chants”. His first album Magnetic Voices From The Unseen is released by Nahal.
