From DEM1NS #2 DONE KNOW

Giles King Kwakeulati Ashong aka Kwake Bass, is from Lewisham, South London. A keen drummer since the age of five, his passion led him to become musical director for many artists. He has played with the likes of Lianne La Havas, Mica Levi, Joey Bada$$, MF Doom, Roots Manuva, Shabaka Hutchings, Joe-Armon-Jones, Kae Tempest, Sampha, Novelist and his own four piece Speakers Corner Quartet and duo =CoN+KwAkE=.

His role as a producer has grown through his exploration of live electronic improvisations and the studio experimentation of what lives between the cracks of structured programming. Latest productions include Zara Mcfarlane’s Songs Of An Unknown Tongue and Dean Blunt's Black Metal 2. Ashong is also a co-founder of The Room Studios in Lewisham, which has become a creative hub for a lot of creatives within the London scene.
