Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, bassist and composer Anna Butterss is known for her work with a variety of artists including Makaya McCraven, Jeff Parker, Aimee Mann and Phoebe Bridgers. On her debut album Activities she explores themes of loss and identity through a process of improvisation, processing and layering. The track “Blevins” is her electroacoustic tribute to piano great Bill Evans.
