Sound artist Aniruddha Das works under the name Dhangsha, which is Bengali for destruction. Appropriately enough, his music is engaged in disruption at the interface of bass culture and experimental noise. The former dub practitioner has left behind the strictures of the dance floor to explore a more tortured geography. Aside from a handful of albums, on maverick label Hard Return among others, he has contributed to compilations released by Avon Terror Corps, Syrphe, Iklectik and most recently, Disruptive Frequencies on Nonclassical. A fierce advocate of live improvisation, Dhangsha has performed in Colombia, throughout the UK and in Europe.
