El Kontessa is the stage name of Cairo based producer, DJ and multidisciplinary artist Fajr Soliman, who experiments with pop and mahraganat music elements. In her production and DJ sets, she deconstructs familiar/nostalgic sounds, adds textures and blends them with Cairo’s soundscapes.

El Kontessa’s debut album Nos Habet Caramel is released by Palestinian label Bilna’es.
