Described as “The Fall meets Hawkwind”, Ultimate Thunder have earned a reputation for offsetting their spiralling grooves with a snarling, noise rock edge. First coming together in 2012 with the help of Leeds charity People In Action, all but one member of the band have a learning disability and complex needs.

Earlier this year, with their second album already finished, the band received the news that their supporting charity would no longer be able to support Ultimate Thunder financially. To allow them to continue operating, the band’s producer and manager James Mabbett (Napoleon IIIrd) set up a crowdfunding campaign with all funds going to support the band’s ongoing existence. A Spider Will Come To Eat Your Flesh is now released via Easy Listening Records.
