Nilotpal Das was born in Kolkata, India. He started learning music production aged 16 through YouTube tutorials and self-improvised methods. Soon his music shifted from electronic music towards instrumental and performance-oriented practices. In 2020 he started his solo project Bios Contrast to experiment with storytelling through sonic pieces, real events, physical objects and natural phenomena. In 2023 he started a side project under his own name in which he releases music that doesn’t fall into any genre or description.
