Superfície is the 19 year old Brazilian Nicholas Amaral who also works under the Sexworker moniker. Amaral has been living in Cork, Ireland, for the last three years. He released his debut EP Untitled in 2014 on First Second records. His most recent release Tenebra/Silicone combines his interests in pop, grime and Brazilian funk. Talking about the producer, Novas Frequências say, “its aesthetic is a confiscation, a stolen collage of references from the contemporary music scene, like the Berlin based collective Janus and producers TCF and Total Freedom. Its sound, in his own words, is an observation on ‘the human exposure to new frequencies of information, on the automatisation of economics forms and the integration of the internet to our most primary biology’.”
