ÀTTØØXXÁ is the solo project of Rafael Dias, a former member of the duo A.MA.SSA, and is inspired by the recent Bahia Bass movement. Novas Frequências explain, “[Bahia Bass] is mainly organized by Mauro Telefunksoul in his Bahia Bass compilations, published through netlabel Braza. Bahia Bass sounds are essentially a fusion of bass music with Bahia’s regional rhythms and genders (like pagode, arrocha, samba de roda and axé music).”
