Nasi Chavchavadze and Alexander Khokhiashvili are a Georgian duo making experimental electronic-acoustic music. Nasi is a cellist, percussionist, composer, and DJ. Alexander is a drummer, composer, and DJ. Together they are part of the electroacoustic experimental music project Metastasis, a trio from Tbilisi, Georgia. The project was initially inspired by the White Noise protest movement, which emerged between 2017 and 2020 against state violence. The trio’s first performances were live improvisations played during these demonstrations. The project continues to keep that same spirit to this day. A Metastasis album will be released in 2025 by the ZENAARI label.
