Born in Czechoslovakia, Gruska studied at Institute of Sonology in The Hague, the Netherlands, and at Music Academy in Krakow, Poland. His main focus is chaotic rhythms and the exploration of psychoacoustic properties of sound and field recording. He has created several site-specific sound installations based on resonant properties of spaces and materials, and he has given workshops on sonification, field recording, printed circuit board design and programming for artists.
