Dmytro Nikolaienko is a Kiev based sound artist, events activist and founder of the Muscut label. In 2006, inspired by Pierre Schaeffer, Karlheinz Stockhausen and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Nikolaienko initiated a project to study the musical aesthetics and futurism of the mid-20th century in order to relate them to the current cultural context. His music combines loops, electroacoustic sound fragments and tape manipulation. In 2010 Nexsound issued his debut mini-album Loops And Cuts Soup. He is currently preparing to release his next album, The Sounds Of Pseudoscience, on which he has worked for the last four years.
