Gabriel Prokofiev is a London based composer and producer, whose music is strongly influenced by both contemporary composition and electronic dance music. “Tuff Strum” is taken from his new suite for nine multitracked cellos. All nine parts are performed by Peter Gregson, a 24 year old cellist who has recently premiered pieces by Steve Reich, Daniel Bjarnason and Scott Walker. This remix is by Louis D’Heudieres, an electroacoustic composer who explores intuitively generated forms derived from live electronic processes.
