Guitarist Pape Seck, singers Assane Camara, Bassirou Sarr and Gora Mbaye and their 13 piece group mix rhythms from across Senegal with fuzz guitars, horn sections and percussion. The result is an explosive electric psychedelia, a crossover of Afro-Manding and Afro-jazz. Aw Sa Yone Vol 1 – recorded 32 years ago – includes most of the group’s second recording, and still sounds futuristic today.
