Anna Steiden & chra (Christina Nemec) began their collaboration in autumn 2012, with a distorted, deep version of a famous Austrian love song. Steiden lives and works as an electronic and electroacoustic musician in Vienna; chra processes sinewaves through a tape recorder and analogue and digital tools, sonically alluding to landscapes, post-industrial sites, silence, extraordinary challenges and extreme situations. As well as running her own label Comfortzone, she is part of Shampoo Boy (with Peter Rehberg and Christian Schachinger), who will release their debut album Licht in May on BEB.
