MIR are Daniel Buess on drums, Marco Papiro on strings and Michael Zaugg on synths. Their shows are forceful and physical, and they take a refreshingly un-intellectual approach towards intellectually loaded music. Their dark soundscapes conjure up cinematic visions in the vein of early Tarkovsky or David Lynch’s Eraserhead.
