"Four Walks Around A Year: Summer" (excerpt)
From Four Walks Around A Year: Summer
Coming from a background in sculpture, Sebastiane Hegarty has worked in various media, from installation and film to drawing and performance. He explores the relationship between time, place and memory. Currently his work is focused on the perceptual geographies of sound and audition, and the loss inherent in the act of recording. His audio reverie on voice and remembering was recently broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s Between Your Ears. His Four Walks Around A Year, produced during a residency at Hampshire Wildlife Trust’s Winnall Moors Reserve in Winchester, are being seasonally released on Gruenrekorder throughout 2013.
