Hailing from Turku, Finland, but now based in in Berlin, Tatu Metsätähti has been making electronic music in a variety of forms since the 1990s, when he played in the retro electro duo Mr Velcro Fastener. Today, Metsätähti records solo as Mesak, and as cofounder of the Harmönia label, is regarded as the Godfather of the irreverent and downbeat Scandinavian dance music hybrid skweee.
