Coming from a long line of damaged Texan noise punks including Roky Erickson, The Butthole Surfers and Rusted Shut, Quttinirpaaq exist somewhere between skull crushing avant rock, noise drenched Japanese psych and primitive caveman dirge. The ongoing project of Austin based musician Matt Turner, Quttinirpaaq have released four albums and a split LP on labels such as Faunasabbatha, Blackest Rainbow and Rural Isolation Project. A new LP is slated for release on Trensmat later this year.
