As well as designing sleeves for labels like Smalltown Supersound and Rune Grammofon, Norway’s Kim Hiorthøy is a musician who produces offbeat and playful electronica using toy instruments, field recordings and analogue kit. Since his critically acclaimed 2000 debut Hei, Hiorthøy has released several singles, EPs and albums, including the rarities collection Melke and 2004’s For The Ladies, a limited collection of field recordings. He returns this September with Dogs, his first album in seven years.
