The God In Hackney’s debut Cave Moderne is a concept album set in the contemporary Neolithic, their prehistoric-future music built from chants, drums, guitars, synths, shells, earth, teeth, bits of tree and crap music apps – the soundtrack, they say, to “contemporary cave life”. The group feature present and former members of Skill 7 Stamina 12, Socrates That Practices Music, Charlottefield, Imitation Electric Piano, Advanced Sportswear, Conemelt and Big Legs, and have played live at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Performa11 in New York and the ICA in London.
