Track 6

"Mirrored"
From Mirrored/Mirror 7"
Four years since her second album on FatCat, 2010’s Opticks, Silje Nes returns with a new release displaying a single-mindedness and autodidactic adventurousness that’s seen the Norwegian multi-instrumentalist draw comparison to peers like Tujiko Noriko, Islaja and Leila Arab. Utilising a collection of sounding objects, triggered by an intricate system of computer programming, multichannel audio and mechanics, tracks like “Mirrored” open up like a strange blown up world of insects or curious creatures, teeming with life and a sense of fun.
