"Woods And Gullies"
From Ovum Caper
During the production of Ovum Caper, Liverpudlian songwriter Esa Shields retreated along with several other artists to a semi-haunted Victorian house. Broken clocks on the walls disrupted the passage of time for its mostly nocturnal inhabitants. The finished album betrays something of its uncanny origins, with Shields’s compositions starting as straight pop before gradually revealing darker qualities.
