Brothers Maurizio and Roberto Opalio formed My Cat Is An Alien in late 1997 and have since collaborated with Christian Marclay, Keiji Haino, Michael Morley, Jim O’Rourke, Mats Gustafsson, Sonic Youth and Savage Pencil among others. After reshaping their sound with self-made string instruments and reassembled electronic devices, MCIAA’s music has recently incorporated trance-like electronic beats. Their new album The Dance Of Oneirism is released this month by Backwards.
