"Imber Dock"
From Imber, Wiltshire
KÖök is the invention of guitarists Jørn Erik Ahlsen and Stian Larsen. Emerging from Oslo’s improvisation scene, the duo navigate the landscape between electronic ambient and experimental jazz. Inspired by Marc Ducret, Alva Noto, Steve Reich and fellow Norwegians Hunstville, they have developed their minimalist sound through the use of analogue effects, loops and prepared guitars. The group's self-titled debut album was released in 2012 by FMR, followed by Live In Leipzig in 2013. Last year’s Imber, Wiltshire is their most recent album.
