Aleorta is the nightbook sound project of Daniel Bristow, who by day is a UK based academic writer and poet. He started the project in 2010 with the remit to make a year’s worth of experimental music from lean means. In 2015 he resurrected Aleorta in response to a request from Waywords And Meansigns’ Derek Pyle, asking him to create a chapter recording for a soundscape edition of James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake. Bristow is co-creator of the Everyday Analysis Collective. His new book Joyce And Lacan, about the Irish writer and the theory of psychoanalysis, will be published later this year.
