Brooklyn’s Brendan Landis began Hey Exit as a free improvisation project in 2009. Six years later he relaunched Hey Exit with a new focus on modern pop and electroacoustic composition. Landis’s background is in punk, harsh noise and traditional Japanese music, all of which are brought together in Hey Exit’s hybrid modern pop/electroacoustic compositions. He self-released an album called Caudata on cassette and digital formats in January this year.
