JMZM are Josip Maršić and Zoran Medved’s electroacoustic duo based in Rijeka, Croatia. Their work focuses on the physical, psychic and emotional properties of sound. The pair conceive sound as a self-contained aesthetic molecule, a state of liminal density from which music sometimes but not always emerges. In their live performances, music and sound design work for film and theatre, they constantly explore that thin line between sound and music.
