Pointe du Lac were dreamed into being by French musicians Julien Lheuillier and Richard Francés. More prosaically it is also the name of a metro station in the east of Paris. Their recently released debut album on Gonzaï was constructed from the seemingly contrasting elements of ambient synthesizers and repetitive rhythm sequences, while referencing krautrock, classic synth soundtracks and more current sounds.
