"Rongo"

From Noa Noa

“Rongo” is taken from an album named after the Paul Gauguin painting that inspired it. It’s the debut cassette album of Padua, Italy’s electronic musician Nicola Sanguin, also of Lay Llamas. Its combination of complex rhythmic patterns and simple sampled sounds resembles a 2D savanna lifted from a videogame. Noa Noa was released by fake exoticist group Quinto Mondo’s label Artetetra in February.
