An academic philosopher by day, Bob Plant’s alter ego Portland Vows produces his slow-moving analogue electronics in a small Aberdeen studio, making minimal music that’s likely to be pitched somewhere between mournful, haunting, uplifting and blissed out. His third album Your Corners has just been released as a double cassette by Preston’s Concrète Tapes, the northwest experimental music specialist label also responsible for Portland Vows’ 2017 set Play Nicely and his 2016 debut Living With Animals.
