US street musician The Space Lady started out in the late 1960s performing on accordion, before moving onto a battery-powered Casiotone keyboard and speakers to support her voice with echo and space effects. In 2000 she left the San Francisco streets behind and returned to Colorado to look after her ageing parents; she came out of retirement and began performing again in 2012. “Street Of Dreams” is taken from the Bongo Joe label’s LP survey of songs that have served her well over the years, William DeVaughn’s “Be Thankful For What You Got” among them.
